THE RULES

Contest 1 — the birth date

• •Whoever guesses the actual birth date wins. If no one nails it exactly, the guess closest to the real date wins.
• •If two or more people tie on the date, the tiebreaker is whoever is closest on weight.
• •Still tied? The next tiebreaker is whoever is closest on length.

Contest 2 — closest weight

• •Awarded to the closest weight guess overall, whatever date they picked.

Contest 3 — closest length

• •Awarded to the closest length guess overall, whatever date they picked.

The prize

I've asked Natalia and Teddy to let the winner name the child, but they haven't gotten back to me yet.

Fine print

• •One guess per person, and guesses are final once submitted.
• •Everyone guesses blind — updates, crowd stats, and the calendar of other guesses unlock only after your own guess is in.
• •A guess whose date has already passed can no longer win the date contest. Those guesses are greyed out in the all-guesses list, but they still count for the closest weight and length contests.
• •The baby-name guess is just for fun — it is not one of the contests and does not affect who wins.
• •Winners are announced by email once the baby arrives.
